My friend Veronica clicked the photo of this landscape somewhere in Scotland. I couldn't resist the temptation to capture the reflection in the water and love how the water is so still that there is almost no distortion caused by ripples otherwise.
The painting has been made with a blend of both cool and warm colours on Canvas backed with board and is ideal for a serene spot in the house.
I've been painting for a good part of my life now but I still feel like an amateur at best. There is so much more to try, and to learn, and to perfect. Knowing that the quest will never end is both an exciting and humbling realization. I taught myself how to paint on egg shells 15 years ago and keep adding to my collection of high-detail eggcraft mostly on chicken egg shells. Painting on small surfaces fascinates me. I dabble in acrylics, am teaching myself watercolors and am still in awe of oils. I'm so glad there are sites like FAA which bring us artists together so that we can be inspired by each other and all the great talent out there. Thanks very much for stopping by.
