Artist's Description
When i began this piece I only knew that I want to paint roses in a water-can. The backdrop of the window with rain drops came as an afterthought, to try and not take away from the flowers but at the same time give the can its own little corner in the frame.
The canvas is not stretched or board based.
About Elizabeth Mundaden
I've been painting for a good part of my life now but I still feel like an amateur at best. There is so much more to try, and to learn, and to perfect. Knowing that the quest will never end is both an exciting and humbling realization. I taught myself how to paint on egg shells 15 years ago and keep adding to my collection of high-detail eggcraft mostly on chicken egg shells. Painting on small surfaces fascinates me. I dabble in acrylics, am teaching myself watercolors and am still in awe of oils. I'm so glad there are sites like FAA which bring us artists together so that we can be inspired by each other and all the great talent out there. Thanks very much for stopping by.

Warm and dry inside, cool and wet outside. You have rendered the rain and water very well, Elizabeth. I am a firm believer that art does not always have to have a singular focal point. Your painting here is one reason why I feel that way! Just beautiful!...........FAV / LIKE
